Heid E. Erdrich: Curator of Ephemera at the New Museum for Archaic Media

Book Release Open House
Sunday, March 5th @ 4-6pm

Bockley Gallery (near Birchbark Books)

Join us for an open house in celebration of a new collection of poems by Heid E. Erdrich. These deeply eco-poetic poems speak to the keen human yearning to connect as they urge engagement of the image, the moment, the sensual, and the real. Heid's poems extend beyond the page in poemeos, poem films made in collaboration with animator Jonathan Thunder. Poemeos such as Undead Faerie Goes Great with India Pale Ale and It was Cloudy will be on display at the open house. Heid will be reading at 4:30pm and 5:30pm. Cover artist Andrea Carlson will also be present for a rare signing opportunity. The book release date is March 1st. You may pre-order yours today or pick one up at the open house for Heid to sign. Refreshments will be served!

Deena Metzger is a radical thinker on behalf of the natural world and planetary survival, a teacher of writing and healing practices for 50 years, and a writer and activist profoundly concerned with peacemaking, restoration and sanctuary for a beleaguered world. Her work examines the tragic failure of contemporary culture and provides guidance for personal, political, environmental and spiritual healing. Reception and book signing to follow the reading.
